AZSEE boasts of its highly qualified, well experienced and committed members of staff in areas of community development, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and business management training, research and surveys, consultancy, as well as business development service provision to MSMEs including supporting them in credit readiness and linking them to financial institutions. Our management team has more than 10 years experience in working with communities, conducting research and surveys as well as enterprise development.Some of the Assignments
- Mapping of the micro, small enterprises both in individual and groups in fisheries, agriculture and processing sub-sectors. A total of 5,000 MSEs have been identified and their capacity needs assessment conducted both in Unguja and Pemba.
- Training on basic financial management skills and tools, including business planning, budgeting, finance, investing, saving and record keeping for fishermen and women fish processors in the three fish landing sites. A total of 125 fishermen and women were outreached and linked to two financial institutions, namely Amana Bank and Equity Bank to access credits to improve their businesses. The training was conducted jointly with USAID Farmer to Farmer (F2F) program which has a MoU with AZSEE.
- Conducted market survey in collaboration with TAMWA-Zanzibar for women and youth MSMEs both Unguja and Pemba.
- Conducted end-line Evaluation of Women Empowerment for Zanzibar (WEZA) project.
