AZSEE aspires to be a strong and strategic organization that empowers Zanzibar society in socio-economic development.
Mission
AZSEE strives to advance and empower Zanzibar society through provision of a demand-driven empowerment and capacity development programs as well as public awareness programs for improved social and economic well-being of the society.

Goal
The overall goal of AZSEE is to contribute towards improved livelihoods for the people of Zanzibar by ensuring that they have access to socio-economic opportunities for sustainable development by developing a strong empowerment system in partnership with government, development partners, non-state actors and communities.
Objectives of the AZSEE
- To initiate and sustain various socio-economic programmes in partnership with government, partners and stakeholders.
- To develop concrete capacity enhancement programmes that are aimed at supporting the wellbeing of youth, women, vulnerable groups, elders and children.
- Develop and facilitate capacity development programs for community groups through various approaches and methodologies.
- Collaborate with communities, partners and stakeholders in public as well as Non-State Actors in community development initiatives in all socio-economic development aspects aimed at reducing poverty and challenges facing all Zanzibar society.
