Background Information

The Association for Zanzibar Social and Economic Empowerment (AZSEE) is a non-governmental and not for-profit organization established in 2011 and officially registered in Zanzibar on 18/07/2013 and given registration No. Z0000086577.
The Organization was established to address the challenges facing Zanzibar society in the areas of social and economic development with focus to poverty, education, and health, environmental and cultural issues.
The main objective of the organization is to support and empower the society in general and specifically in the areas of socio-economic development and business environment in Zanzibar.
AZSEE has the goal of supporting and empowering all economic as well as social groups within Zanzibar - both Unguja and Pemba, focusing to men and women, youths, children and elders in both urban and rural areas where poverty and vulnerability is at high level.
It aims at outreaching all socio-economic groups working to address challenges facing women, youths, adults, children and the disadvantaged and the vulnerable groups.
